About Us

Creative Writing is a bilingual online magazine dedicated to dance, performance, theater, and culture. Founded in 2016 by choreographer, journalist, and editor Ori Lenkinski, the platform publishes original criticism, interviews, essays, and creative responses by artists, writers, and audiences in both Hebrew and English.

We believe that writing is not merely a way of documenting performance—it is a creative practice in its own right. A thoughtful review, a conversation, a personal reflection, or a critical essay can deepen our understanding of an artwork, extend its life beyond the theater, and create meaningful dialogue between artists and audiences.

Alongside our editorial work, Creative Writing develops projects that bring writing into direct conversation with performance. These include audience response initiatives, artist interviews, workshops, public discussions, and collaborations with festivals, cultural institutions, and independent creators.

Creative Writing היא פלטפורמה מקוונת דו־לשונית המוקדשת למחול, פרפורמנס, תיאטרון ותרבות. הפלטפורמה נוסדה בשנת 2016 על ידי הכוריאוגרפית, העיתונאית והעורכת אורי לנקינסקי, ומפרסמת ביקורות, ראיונות, מסות ותגובות יצירתיות מאת כותבות, כותבים, אמניות, אמנים ואנשי קהל בעברית ובאנגלית.

אנחנו מאמינים שכתיבה אינה רק דרך לתעד מופע, אלא מעשה יצירתי בפני עצמו. ביקורת, שיחה, מחשבה אישית או מסה יכולות להעמיק את המפגש עם יצירת אמנות, להאריך את חייה מעבר לרגע הבמה וליצור דיאלוג משמעותי בין יוצרות, יוצרים וקהל.

לצד הפעילות המערכתית, Creative Writing יוזמת ומפתחת פרויקטים המחברים בין כתיבה לאמנויות הבמה: יוזמות של תגובות קהל, ראיונות עם אמנים, סדנאות, שיחות ציבוריות ושיתופי פעולה עם פסטיבלים, מוסדות תרבות ויוצרים עצמאיים.
